- bertwilson.com
The late Bert Wilson (1939-2013) was a master of the saxophone who taught me much and inspired me as well. He was a fountain of information and a musical giant. Almost any time with him could be considered a lesson. I had the honor of performing at his memorial in Olympia. One of his long-time musical partners remarked after one tune that he thought I had "channeled" Bert in my solo, which I was thrilled to hear. I would stop and see him on my way to and from Seattle to perform and we would just pick up where we left off. I miss calling him up and visiting and hearing his horns.
