Salmon Poet is a poetic journey, an ode to Nature through the voice of the poet Walt Curtis and the vision of filmmaker Sabrina Guitart. This artistic and ecological film evokes the spiritual journey of the salmon through the Oregon landscape. Nature, shamanism, and the return of the salmon to reproduce and regenerate the ecosystem are the themes of the film.

The film's star, Walt Curtis, will read poetry and Shoehorn will provide music, as will Dusty Santamaria, the songwriter whose music is featured in the film and Dylan Lee Johnston.
