Now in its fifth inventive year, Ten Tiny Dances celebrates its 13th occurrence in two NW cities at two exciting and fabulous venues. Mike Barber’s popular and persistent performance event presents an evening of works by 10 Portland-based new and veteran Ten Tiny dance artists. Along with producer Barber, performing on the 4x4 foot stage this time around at Portland's swanky Bluehour restaurant as well as at Tacoma’s hip Jazzbones will be Margretta Hansen, Anne Furfey, Summer Morgan, Katrina O’Brien, Michael (Shoehorn) Conley, Robyn Conroy, Cydney Wilkes, Jenn Gierada, Agniezska Laska, and Tere Mathern.

Ten Tiny Dances is a twice-yearly performance series, a party, an experiment in confined space, a unique opportunity for dance/performance artists, and a full plate of performance art for a diverse audience.

Mike Barber has trained and performed in Seattle, New York and Portland for the past 20 years. He performed on Broadway with Bill Irwin, was co-director of aero/betty aerial dance theater, a member of the Gregg Bielemeier Dance Project, Oslund+Co. Dance, and Minh Tran and Dancers. He has presented his own work and has produced and appeared in Ten Tiny Dances since 2002. Mike is a recipient of a residency at Djerassi Resident Artists Program and continues to create work with collaborator Cydney Wilkes and is a teacher for Portland Public Schools.
