March 23, the Northwest’s top physical comedians converge to play for free for their favorite charity event---Portland’s Tenth Annual Clowns Without Borders Benefit.
You will see jugglers with high-brow wit, comic ninjas accompanied by live band, acrobats. wild west performers, tap dancing saxophone players, and modern clowns.
Rhys Thomas Nomadic Theatre Company members of Do Jump! Leapin’ Louie Lichtenstein Vanilla Town Vaudevillians Flamebuoyant Shoehorn The Zig Zags, and other special guests.
Clowns Without Borders is an international relief organization that
brings laughter to people who live in refugee camps, war zones and
disaster areas. Tours of performances and workshops to stricken
regions are funded through home-town benefit shows like this one.
Portland is a CWB hub and has been involved in tours to Guatemala,
Haiti, South Africa, Swaziland and the Hurricane Katrina area in the
past year.
