Wet Foot Blues

(Shoehorn)
March 14, 2008
Michael Shoehorn Conley
This is a novelty number born at the Portland Saturday Market where I occasionally perform Need I say? It was raining that day. It seemed like my feet were wet for three weeks straight.
I recorded the vocal, sax and tap dance all in one take, live with the band, and later added harmonica.
I'm not complaining, as long as it's raining, I will have the Wet Foot Blues
I'm singing in the rain and it's driving me insane - I guess I got the Wet Foot Blues
I'm singing in the rain and it's driving me insane - I guess I got the Wet Foot Blues
That's how it goes when you soak your toes- you probably got the Wet Foot Blues
I'm a hardy fella I don't carry an umbrella, a hat is good enough for me
Such a hardy fella I don't need an umbrella, a hat is good enough for me
I pass the test of life in the Northwest, 'cause I endure the Wet Foot Blues
